About the Food Shippers Association of North America

The Food Shippers Association of North America is a non-profit, member-owned organization which uses the combined shipping volumes of its members to leverage benefits for the group, primarily in the form of competitive ocean freight rates and service advantages. Based in the Seattle-Tacoma area on the US West Coast, FSANA was formed in 1996 around a core group of companies engaged in the export of frozen and chilled foodstuffs.

FSANA experiences steady growth in membership and volume. As we expand, so does our ability to provide our members with even better services, rates and choices in carriers. Today the Association has contracts in place with most major carriers covering every significant trade lane.

FSANA has a Board of Directors made up of members who are chosen annually by the full membership. Independent administrators are responsible for negotiating rates, marketing, and handling the day-to-day operations of the Association. FSANA is managed by Robert Weiss and Ronald Albrecht. Bob has over 25 years of experience as a freight forwarder, traffic manager, steamship line representative and export trader. Ron has over 20 years experience in international logistics and business development services.
